Open Water Guided Fishing Packages

All open water guide trips are serviced with the best quality fishing equipment. We provide the comfort of fishing in an AlumaCraft competitor 205, top quality fishing rods and tackle and our famous Walker's minnows and bait. All you need to bring is weather permitting clothing, and any snacks/drinks that are desired!

Full Day (8 Hours): $750 + GST (5% Tax)

Up to 3 anglers. Additional anglers (adults): $125/person (Maximum 5 people)

Half Day (4 Hours): $550 + GST (5% Tax)

Up to 3 anglers. Additional anglers (adults): $125/person (Maximum 5 people)

Trips can include a shore lunch by request for an additional charge of $25/person.

$200.00 non-refundable deposit due at time of booking to reserve date. Remaining amount due on day of trip. Made payable to Brenden Walker (Cash, cheque or etransfer accepted.

Trips can be rescheduled due to weather at the discretion of the guide and if availability is feasible.

FULL DAY (8 HOUR) ITINERARY

Location: Lake of the Woods, Ontario, Canada

What to expect:

8:00am - Meet guide at Clearwater market or designated boat launch- to be determined upon booking

Launch boat and travel to 1st fishing location
Guide will set up each angler with fishing rod, bait, etc.

9:00am - Engaged in fishing (If shore lunch is requested, limits will be kept for eating)

11:30-12:00pm - Arrive at shore location for shore lunch* (if requested)

Shore lunch must be requested at time of booking. Otherwise clients are responsible for packing own lunches and can be eaten either on shore or while fishing.

HALF DAY (4 HOURS) END OF DAY

12:00-4:00pm - Engaged in fishing. Typically bigger fish are caught at during this time of the trip.

4:30-5:00pm - End of day. Arrive back at boat launch or Clearwater Market.

Guide will move locations as needed throughout the day based on location of fish. Specific species can be requested, let your guide know.
Success is very important, however all trips are fair chase and there is no guarantee of any kind.

What is included in the cost:

GPS Navigation with significant history of success logged into coordinates.

Guided Ice Fishing Packages

Travel to Lake Winnipeg to fish trophy "Greenback" Walleyes with a really good outfitter. This is one of the best trophy Walleye lakes in north America and it continues to get better every year.

Location: South end of Lake Winnipeg near Petersfield (45 minutes north of Winnipeg)

1-day Fishing Trip: $600

Based on party of 4 max. Please contact for larger parties

4x4 vehicle is required to follow the guide. If there is too much snow to drive, the guide will shuttle each party with snowmobile from the shore to ice fishing shacks/set up!

3-day Fishing Trip: $450/person

TYPICAL DAY - WHAT TO EXPECT

7:30am - Guide to meet at designated location (usually your hotel near lake)

One or two guys ride with guide in his truck while other guys follow in 2nd (4x4) pickup

8:30am - Arrive at the 1st location to start fishing

Limited trail network so travel (5-10 miles on ice) is slow. You must navigate drifts & pressure ridges to get out into the fishing area

8:45am - Guide will drill holes for each person and setup shacks with heaters if needed. He’ll start drilling additional holes as soon as he’s got you setup and fishing.

You may choose to sit on a bucket without shelter which helps mobility (more holes & more fish)

9:00am - Group is 100% engaged and fishing hard.

All day - Primary tactic all day is to setup, fish a hole hard for 20-30 minutes and move unless you run into fish. The fish are aggressive, but scattered, which places high premium on mobility.

Noon - Have lunch (sandwiches / snacks / bottled water) while fishing or take time out in the truck

5:30pm - The fishing day is done - It's good (not critical) to get off the ice in the daylight

Typical day – >10 walleyes with one good (> 27”) fish per person. A 30-inch fish is common and most groups will land a fish over 30 inches in 3 days.

6:00pm - Arrive back at the hotel to change and have supper.

Services of licensed professional guide for 3 full days of fishing
GPS navigation with significant history of success logged into coordinates
Drilling holes
- Constantly on the move with new holes every 20-30 minutes
Setting up ice shack and heater if needed
Cleaning of fish – (under 20 inches)
- It's entirely OK to keep a few smaller fish but they will discourage keeping anything over 20 inches.
General assistance during the day
- Improving your technique
- Landing fish
All the gear needed to catch fish
- Good quality Ice fishing rods/reels
- Bucket with seat & needle nose/fish grippers for easy release of trophies
- All the jigs/rattle plugs & live baits needed
- Vexilar FL-8 flashers for each person
- Good quality portable Ice shacks with propane heaters (2 x 2-man shacks)

What is NOT included in the cost:

License - Buy (<$50) on-line before you arrive
